BIM Model Management

At the project initiation stage, the workflow is defined through a BIM Execution Plan (BEP), which sets out responsibilities, interim deliverables, and schedules.
From the outset, a centralized Common Data Environment (CDE) is established to manage and upload all models and documents in a controlled and accessible manner for all stakeholders.

Project teams receive focused training on the tools, methodologies, and collaboration practices required for the project.
In parallel, processes are adapted to the client’s requirements and to recognized standards, both international (such as ISO 19650) and the organization’s internal protocols.

During the model development phase, each discipline creates its respective model in accordance with the BEP guidelines, including architecture, structural engineering, and MEP systems.
Once the initial versions are complete, a preliminary coordination between models is conducted to ensure proper alignment of coordinates and geometric consistency across all disciplines.

Subsequently, all models are merged into a federated model, providing a consolidated view of all project data and elements.

At BPM, we also develop proprietary digital tools for our model management teams, designed to enhance quality and improve efficiency. These tools include advanced monitoring and reporting solutions for model management.

Architectural and Structural coordination is a critical stage of the design process, ensuring precise integration between the architectural and structural models. This step is essential before commencing full systems coordination.
At this stage, we verify the alignment of columns, beams, slabs, and shafts with architectural requirements, ensuring accuracy and eliminating discrepancies at the earliest opportunity.

BPM brings innovation to the process with dedicated apps that ensure optimal coordination by streamlining the process and generating clear tasks for the relevant disciplines.
The goal is to eliminate design conflicts early, preventing delays and costly modifications during the construction phase.

We guide the design process, providing focused support at every milestone: tender, permit application, design transitions, execution readiness, and handover to the contractor.
Our team also aids in model reconstruction and version comparison, as required by the project.

To prepare models for detailed design and systems coordination, we ensure: Complete modeling free of internal or structural clashes, accurate integration of all required parametric data, Correct alignment with project levels and fixed coordinates, seamless consistency with BPM’s systems coordination team

Throughout the design phase, and in line with project milestones, we conduct comprehensive model quality reports, monitoring compliance with established standards, modeling protocols, and Level of Information (LOI) requirements.

We oversee the final closing processes and the project handover to the client or end users.
And all required adjustments from the supervision team and the developer are fully implemented, delivering the project with complete facility files and documentation, all at the highest standard defined from the outset.
